QA Group

QA (Quality Assurance) Group for the Mechanical Engineering degree program: within the degree program, self-assessment activities and the drafting of the related report are carried out by the QA Group, appointed by the Master's Degree Program Council in Mechanical Engineering (CLMIM) at its meeting on October 27, 2021, after a proposal from the Coordinator and approved by the Council of the Department of Engineering.

The QA Group is composed as follows:

  • Cucinotta Filippo (CLMIM Coordinator)
  • Di Bella Guido (CLMIM Lecturer)
  • Risitano Giacomo (CLMIM Lecturer)
  • Greco Rosaria (Technical-Administrative Staff)
  • Ullo Rosario (Student Representative within the QA Group).

The Head of the QA Group within the committee coordinates the work, which consists of:
- data monitoring;
- defining objectives to be achieved;
- identifying and implementing actions to achieve the objectives;
- verifying that they have been effectively achieved.

The Student Representative is responsible for promptly reporting any comments made by colleagues and organizing regular meetings to gather opinions.

The QA Group analyzes documents relating to the CLMIM in Mechanical Engineering from various sources. In particular:
- Data relating to the regularity of students' educational paths are extracted from the ESSE3 IT system and from the course report.
- Data relating to the evaluation of teaching are extracted from documents published by the University Evaluation Unit (AVA questionnaires).
- Data relating to internationalization are provided by the Degree Program's Delegate for Internationalization, Prof. Mauro Prestipino.
- Data relating to agreements and internships are provided by the Department's teaching secretariat.

The self-assessment report (comments on the Annual Monitoring Form), written annually by the QA Group, is first discussed and approved by the CLMIM Council and the Engineering Department Council and then submitted for evaluation by the University Quality Assurance Committee.

The QA Group is also responsible for drafting the SUA-CdS form, collecting all information regarding the structure and activities of the course, and organizing the work according to the scheduled deadlines.

The QA Group also:
- is involved in the redesign and management of the course;
- analyzes the CPDS and NdV reports;
- carries out the cyclical review of the course, identifying strengths and weaknesses and the resulting improvement actions, verifying their correct implementation with all interested parties.
